After the anaesthetic – The recovery room
Once the operation and anaesthesia are over, you will be taken to the recovery room or intermediate care station, where you will undergo intensive monitoring and care from our specially trained nursing staff. This continues until you are no longer experiencing any of the functional disturbances to your organs that typically occur and are expected following an operation.
One main element of our perioperative activities is the treatment of pain resulting from the operation. This involves administering highly effective painkillers in individual doses, either systemically or using special catheter procedures, adapted to your needs.
