Safety checklist

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has shown that surgical procedures are safer when performed according to checklists. We make use of checklists in several process steps within our general hospital care activities. A binding safety checklist is a central instrument in an operation. It queries, confirms and records individual criteria prior to the commencement of the operation, such as the patient’s identity, the respective side localisation and the planned operation.
