What is urology?
Conservative treatment
Conservative treatment refers to treatment that does not involve an operation. It primarily consists of medicinal treatment, but there are also other types of therapy that can be employed, such as physiotherapy or patient training in special techniques (such as a guide to the self-administration of a catheter).
There are many urological conditions that can be treated without surgery, including disturbances to sexual organs, functional disturbances of the bladder, and even advanced tumour diseases.
See the relevant sections on our website for more information on corresponding treatment.
The last page of this section contains an overview and more precise information on the urological organs.
