Mixed incontinence
If a combination of stress incontinence and urge incontinence is present, it is called mixed incontinence.
The causes are ultimately the same as those for stress or urge incontinence. Particularly in the case of a lowering of the pelvic floor, the respective anatomical changes can cause both urge and stress components of incontinence, so that surgical treatment of the lowering can treat both symptoms.
