Treatment of bladder cancer
Three different types of bladder cancer are recognised in clinical practice:
- superficial bladder cancer, limited to the lining of the bladder (mucosa)
Treating superficial bladder cancer - muscle-invasive bladder cancer, meaning a cancer which is growing into the deeper layers of the bladder wall
Treatment of muscle invasive bladder cancer - metastatic bladder cancer, in which secondary cancers (metastases) can already be detected in other organs or lymph nodes
